-bloom-`s strongest asset is still Janne and her voice. She has a lot of feel to the way she is performing, but I feel that the arrangements could have been a bit more interesting. I know that "-bloom-"/Janne always meant that "Less is more", But I don't feel that it works quite as good here as it did on some of the earlier stuff. There are really good songs here, but they might need a bit better production.... It`s a demo so one can`t expect too much in that department, but it still sounds a bit "flat".
This demo contains only three songs, so once again it`s difficult to get the whole picture of "-bloom-" and what they are about these days. "Across" is an absolutely beautiful song, amongst some of Janne`s best stuff ever.....but personally I think that their sound might be missing keyboards or effects of some sort.
With two "uptempo" songs (or like Tiptoe at least) this would have been a great demo, ending in a perfect finish with the song "Across"..... I am looking forward to hearing more of this band in the future, cause they definitely have potential.
